How do I sign my fourth grader up?

Click the link below to take you to the Every Kid Outdoors page and sign up with just a few clicks. The only personal info you need to enter is your zip code!

What if we homeschool?

The pass is for U.S. fourth grade and home-school equivalent students.

Who can use the pass?

Your fourth grade student must be present to use the pass. It is not transferable to another person. For parks that charge per person, the pass will cover entrance fees for all children 16 and under and up to three adults. For parks that charge per vehicle, the pass will cover all children 16 and under and all adults in one vehicle (commercial vehicles excluded).

When does the pass expire?

The pass is good during the academic school year and will expire on August 31st of the year you sign up.

How do we prove our child is in fourth grade?

You don’t need to prove that your child is in fourth grade, however, the park rangers often ask to see your fourth grader at the gates when using the pass.

When do we get the pass?

After a few clicks and entering your zip code, your pass will be generated on the next page. Print the pass and store it in a safe place. Electronic copies are not accepted so don’t forget to bring the printed pass on your trip! Some locations will exchange your paper version for a plastic card which is a great keepsake.

Are there any other fees we need to pay?

You will be allowed to enter most parks, however, the pass does not cover parking fees, camping, boats, and some sites managed by private operators. Be sure to check prior to your trip.
